I'm baking a cake that uses Lyle's Golden Syrup. It's a British thing. It has a pretty amber color, and tastes like a cross between honey and molasses.

A slight cheat - I took this picture on April 9th. The pollen count has been through the roof lately. This is the hood of my car. The yellow spots are pollen. Rain is in the forecast for today, so maybe some of the pollen will wash away, and I will be able to breathe through my nose again.
