Happy Easter! The Easter Bunny made an appearance at our house. He left a basket, and some eggs for the tyke to find.

April 23rd

Mater has finally made an appearance at the Epcot Flower and Garden festival. He looks great hanging with Lightning.

April 22nd

I found the cat curled up inside the folded-up tunnel. That's a new place for her.

April 21st

The tyke loves mango, which is why he is so happy during lunch. He will eat an entire one in a sitting.

April 20th

These aren't an actual photo that I took. Rather, they are screen shots from a performance I did last summer. We played a private media event for the opening of Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was broadcast on on the internet. Some of that footage made it onto the dvd extras of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1. And, I'm in it! That's the back of my head on the right. So, I can now brag that I'm on the dvd of the movie. It's my 5 seconds of fame. This is a shot of the scroll of my bass.

April 17th

Oops, I skipped the 17th. The tyke and I hung out at a local park for a while. We saw lots of animals including ducklings, cygnets (baby swans), and a really cool Burmese python. The guy offered to let me hold the python, but I was a little squeamish.

April 19th

Another food pic. Sushi hand rolls - avocado and cucumber, and kimchi.

April 18th

Just food pictures today. Spaghetti with tomato and basil.

Macarons are FINALLY done. I loved taking pictures of them. I had a difficult time adjusting the exposure and temperature in PP. It took a while to get it right. Here is one photo, SOOC and edited.

April 12th

Continuing my macaron sojourn. Half the time the cookies poofed and got the crusty feet, and half the time they didn't. These are the successful batches.

April 11th

My attempt at making Easter egg shaped macarons. I started tonight, and will continue tomorrow. Unfortunately, this batch of batter was not whipped enough, so they didn't rise.

We went to the Great American Pie Festival. The best part is the never ending pie buffet. They also have free vanilla ice cream and bottles of water.


We tried about 10 different pies. My favorites were: banana cream, peach pie, and dark cherry.


There was also a car show the next block over.

I got this at a local bakery. I'm going to attempt making my own this week.

April 7th

This is what 100 lbs of rice looks like. The small bag is 10 lbs, the two medium bags are 20 lbs, and the large bag is 50 lbs. My husband has gone a little overboard.

I bought some cupcakes, and someone was eager to dig in.
