30 Day Challenge, Day 11: A Childhood memory. I kinda got stuck on today's assignment...had a hard time finding a childhood memory. Then I remembered that Halloween is just around the corner. I trick-or-treating, and getting all that candy!

October 7th

Took the tyke to the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tonight. He dressed up as Charlie Brown.

We were hampered by rain for the first hour, but after we got candy, all was well.

There were spooky decorations

a parade

characters

and fireworks

The tyke loved it all, especially the candy.

Earlier in the day, I took lots of pictures of the sky, for Day 3 of the 30 Day Challenge: Clouds. I was afraid that it would be a typical cloudless day in Florida, but the impending storm made the sky much more interesting.

Happy Easter! The Easter Bunny made an appearance at our house. He left a basket, and some eggs for the tyke to find.

Happy Easter! I hid some chocolate ducks for my husband to find on a little hunt.

And, just because...

Remember the balloons from a few days ago? This was the cooking project that used them. These are my version of Cadbury creme eggs. They are chocolate cups filled with vanilla bean mousse and mango puree. Click here for more on how I made them.

We went to a seder Monday night. This is the second year our friend has hosted one and we've attended. This may be an annual tradition.

Happy Mardi Gras!

Today is also Paczki Day, a Polish tradition. Since I couldn't make it to the Polish cafe in town, I got a doughnut to celebrate. It's a poor substitute, but any excuse to eat a doughnut is a good one!
